Politics is about getting elected.
Government is about getting something done.
If politics is the art of the possible, and business the art of the deal, then government combines the two and becomes the art of the possible deal.
Until and unless a player new to the game learns how to connect the first two to succeed in the third, he is likely to be called out early in the game.
America was founded on compromises. Today, those in the several aspects of government refuse to compromise on anything, with anyone, ever.
Result: Nothing gets done. And when nothing gets done, government fails.
America today faces a top-down failure of government.
